JG_Helicam+ — Advanced FiveM Helicam System

JG_Helicam+ is a premium helicopter camera system built for serious FiveM roleplay servers that want a more immersive, tactical, and professional air support experience.

Designed for police, military, air support, surveillance, and specialist units, JG_Helicam+ gives authorised users access to a full-featured helicam system with target locking, live spotlight control, street/postal tracking, beacon placement, vehicle intelligence, and advanced camera modes.

The system is role-restricted using JG_Discord_API_v2, ensuring only users with the correct Discord roles can access the helicam. Server owners can configure which helicopter models are supported, or allow the system to work with all helicopter-class vehicles. Camera positioning can also be adjusted per helicopter model, with a master fallback position for any unconfigured aircraft.

Once inside a helicopter, authorised users can activate the helicam and access a cinematic surveillance-style interface. The UI displays live helicopter information, including the direction, street, district, postal, speed in knots and MPH, altitude, elevation-adjusted altitude, camera status, spotlight status, blind mode status, and current camera type.

The system also includes a dedicated Target Info display. When locked onto a vehicle, the camera shows the target’s location, make, model, plate, colour, and speed. When locked onto a player, it can display their Discord tag through the connected Discord API. If no target is locked, the UI clearly shows that there is no active lock.

JG_Helicam+ supports multiple lock types, including vehicles, peds, players, and ground point locking. This means operators can lock onto a moving target or fix the camera onto a specific road, building, junction, field, or tactical location. When locked onto a moving vehicle or player, the camera and spotlight follow the target, creating a much more realistic surveillance and pursuit experience.

The live spotlight system allows operators to control radius and brightness directly from the helicam. The spotlight is synced so players on the ground can see it, making air support feel more present and impactful during pursuits, searches, and operations.

For high-intensity roleplay situations, JG_Helicam+ includes Blind Mode. When locked onto a player, the operator can activate Blind Mode to force the spotlight into a tight, high-brightness beam and apply a blinding white-screen effect to the locked player and nearby players within range. This creates a dramatic tactical effect while remaining controlled and restricted to active player locks only.

Operators can also place large red physical beacons from the helicam, allowing air units to mark locations for ground teams. Beacons are visible to nearby players, even outside of the camera, and can be used for search areas, suspect locations, landing zones, incident markers, or tactical callouts.

The camera includes standard, thermal, and night-vision modes, adjustable zoom up to high magnification, smooth movement, configurable keybinds through FiveM’s pause menu settings, and a custom-designed NUI overlay inspired by professional airborne surveillance systems.

JG_Helicam+ has been built with usability and performance in mind. Keybinds only respond when the player is in a valid helicopter, only one user can operate the camera per aircraft, and sensitive Discord API security keys remain server-side only.
